Due to the popularity of our recent Web SLA training sessions, we have arranged more training dates for any school who would like to re-visit introduction and / or intermediate training (please note that these sessions are for schools who are signed up to the Web SLA).
The training will take place at the Education Development Centre in Spennymoor on 14th October 2010, 18th November 2010, 16th February 2011, 7th April 2011 and 12th April 2011. Times and details are as follows:
0900 - 1200 offers introduction training. You will be shown how to log-in to your website, set-up an RSS feed from your website using IE8, use site admin, use the new document library, add events and how to add articles at introductory level.
1300 - 1600 offers intermediate training. This session will show you how to convert documents to PDF and how to resize single or multiple images. The session will also show you how to add multiple images, files and text boxes to a page providing you with the necessary skills to create a custom page.
Please be aware that lunch will not be provided.

| Frogmail |

The durhamlea.org.uk email system, known as "Frogmail", has now been withdrawn. All pupils and staff which take the ITSS email support service are now entitled to a durhamlearning.net email account accessed through the My School area on the DLG. Pupil accounts will only be created once the school has confirmed that it has a suitable "appropriate use" policy, please see our news items on the Extranet for more information.
The only durhamlea.org.uk email addresses which remain valid are school addresses, which are forwarded to the school secure email account, and a handful of staff who were still actively using Frogmail who have now been redirected to alternative systems: the forwarding of these accounts will cease during the summer holidays. All other staff, and all pupils, who had Frogmail addresses have now been removed and the redirection of staff accounts to the new system cancelled.
Schools are reminded that the old process of submitting a CSV file to ITSS for the creation of new staff accounts was withdrawn in Spring 2009. All new staff accounts should be requested using the Options area of the DLG, accessible to headteachers and "portal administrators", details of pupil accounts can also be retrieved from this area.
